Have you ever wanted to photograph the incredible night-sky, but don't know where to get away from the city and all the light pollution? Come on out to Fort McKavett on Friday, July 9!
We are one of the naturally darkest places in Texas and our night sky is a treasure trove of celestial wonders. The well-preserved historic frontier Army Fort provides a beautiful setting with historic buildings and picturesque ruins that provide uncommonly attractive foreground subjects with the wonders of the night sky above.
This incredible opportunity is only offered quarterly, once each season of the year. This is for professional and amateur photographers alike, families are most welcome too. A suggested donation to the Friends of Fort McKavett of $5/person is greatly appreciated. For more information, please contact: ftmckavett@ thc.texas.gov or call at (325) 396-2358
