ALMOST THERE- A worker with the floor company grinds down a concrete floor in the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) Teen Center this week. It’s been a long 3.5 months since the water pipe ruptures that caused the BGC of Menard to relocate while major repairs have been made. During the repairs, teen members have been attending Club activities at the library, and younger members report to the FUMC Fellowship Hall. Executive Director Mandy Waldrop hopes to be in the building with kids on November 1. The Club will host a fundraising garage sale on Saturday October 23, beginning at 8 a.m. Directors also hope to host a haunted house on Sunday, October 31. More details to follow.
