County reveals updated commemorative plaque with flag raising

Last Friday, May 29, current and past Menard County elected officials gathered for a plaque dedication ceremony and flag raising in their honor. Current Menard County Judge Brandon Corbin said the project began several years ago when former County Judge Robert C.

Junior Danni Ruiz enters the 1-A Reg. II track meet as the top contender in the 400m, 800m. Although Danni is the reigning two-time state champion in both races, she faces increasing pressure from young talent across the state. This year Danni has been running the mile (1600m) and will compete in that event this weekend. Danni looks to finish her three events as the gold or silver medalist to advance to the state meet.
