Menard student inducted to Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at Angelo State University
Carol Cunningham, with Congressman August Pfluger’s office, presented junior Sabri Zamora with a Congressional Recognition Certificate from Congressman Pfluger this week. The certificate was presented for being selected as a Regional Winner for the Congressman’s 2026 Congressional Art Competition, and her artwork will be displayed in Pfluger’s Llano office. The Menard-Kimble-Mason chapter of the Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) recently presented each Menard Elementary Pre-K students with their own book to take home for the summer. Each gift includes a note of instruction walking an adult through how to help them progress through the book and keep their skills sharp for Kindergarten in the fall. Frontera Healthcare Network has built a partnership with Texas A&M School-to-Scrubs and Big Country AHEC to provide valuable learning opportunities for Menard High School’s Health Club. Health Club students recently participated in a hands-on lesson in phlebotomy and explored various career pathways within the nursing field.
