Donna Weiss Arrott passed away peacefully on June 21, 2023. She was born on April 8, 1935, and was the only child of Edwin and Dessie Parmer Weiss. Donna went to school in Miles and San Angelo and graduated from San Angelo High School in 1952. She attended the University of North Texas in Denton after high school where she got a degree in music. After college, she returned to San Angelo and taught at many area elementary schools.
Donna married her fifthgrade sweetheart and love of her life, Grady Lee 'Sonny' Arrott on January 2, 1956. Together they spent 67 wonderful years. Donna was an avid reader, traveler, and loved music and playing the piano. She was the treasured grandmother of five and a great grandmother of three. She was affectionately referred to by many as her grandmother name, 'Mynot.'
She was welcomed into heaven by her parents and beloved son, Kit Lee Arrott. She is survived by her husband Sonny; daughter Melanye Arrott Wilkinson and husband Bob of Menard; daughter- in-law Jennifer Moritz Arrott of New Braunfels; granddaughter Amanda Wilkinson Richardson and husband Cody of Aledo; granddaughter Jarrott Wilkinson Crews and husband Travis of New Braunfels; grandson Cameron Lee Arrott of Lubbock; granddaughter Dylan Shea Arrott of Ft. Scott, Kansas; granddaughter Emma Grace Moritz of New Braunfels; great grandchildren Hayes Barrett Richardson, Maren Ellis Richardson and Creed Montgomery Crews; and very special cousin Jettye Schovajsa Miller of San Angelo.
Her family would like to thank Menard Manor and Hospice care for their loving and diligent care and most generous support. The family will be honoring her last wishes with no funeral or memorial service.
