Abel F. Torres, 58, of Eden went to be with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Rest now, Rest in His perfect Peace ‘til we see you again in glory, you were loved beyond measure and will live in our hearts forever.
Abel F. Torres was born in Eden, Texas on September 13, 1964, to Antonio P. Torres and Elva F. Torres. Abel attended Eden Jr. High and later earned his GED. One of his greatest attributes was his love of God, family, and spending time with the love of his life, Debbie, and their children and grandchildren. Abel loved working with his brothers and sisters. He was an exceptional welder, sheep shearer, automotive mechanic, fence builder, and truck driver. Abel never met a stranger and had a huge smile on his face for everyone. He loved riding his motorcycle; that gave him a feeling of great joy.
Abel accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior early in life. Abel was a member of the Hallelujah Trail Cowboy Church in Eden.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Debbie Rodriquez; 6 sons: Austin Nicholas and wife Adrianna Ramirez Torres of San Angelo; Aaron Matthew and Morgan Leigh Torres of Campbell, Kentucky; Alec Ryan Torres of Austin; Nick Hernandez; Marcelo Hernandez and Monica of Menard; Ty Hernandez of Menard, and daughter Skye Hernandez of Menard. Four brothers: Antonio F. Torres, Adan F. Torres, Adrian F. Torres, Agapito F. Torres. Sisters: Alicia Barron and Arzenet T. Burnes.
Grandchildren include: Maverick Gomez, Macario Gomez, Kinleigh Paige Carlisle, Berkley Reese Carlisle, Mason Matthew Torres, Baylor Beckham Torres, Cornelio Saucillio Jr., Tobi Royce Saucillio, Carlos Sipriano Saucillio, (and Chelo's 3 little boys-previously given to Rosa).
Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Eden Funeral Home. A prayer service was held Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Eden Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2023, at the Hallelujah Trail Cowboy Church in Eden. Abel was laid to rest at Live Oak Cemetery with Pastor Charley Winford officiating.
Pallbearers were Zachery Torres, Elias Torres, Alec Ryan Torres, Marcelo Hernandez, Ty Hernandez, and Brandon Salazar. Honorable Pallbearers were Victor Torres and Julio Rodriquez.
