Jackets sting late to avoid full on Buffalo stampede

    Football season kicked off last Friday night with the Cross Plains Buffaloes traveling to Menard to take on the Yellowjackets in non-district play.

    A 7:00 p.m. kickoff time got pushed back to 7:20 with scattered thunder and lightning storms looming in the area. Additional lightning caused yet another delay, and the game finally initiated at 8p.m.
