Rogers heels one at Texas State High School Rodeo Finals

Layne Rogers from Menard, left, recently competed in the team roping at the Texas State High School Rodeo, held annually in Abilene.

Rogers and his partner/header Boomer Smith of Pleasanton got one down in the first round of the finals, but received a no time in the second round.
