Things kicked off with a big bang last Saturday as the “Alamo Cannon,” skillfully manned by our local Sons of Confederate Veterans cannon crew, dramatically announced the start of Menard’s Third Annual national anthems of both the United States and Spain beautifully set the stage for the day’s celebration of Menard’s unique ties with Colonial Spain.
