Menard Commissioners Court declares a state of disaster due to the recent emergence of the New World Screwworm (NWS) in the area. The state of disaster went into effect on June 17, 2026, as an emergency measure. Our county will be ahead of the curve for emergency assistance should NWS be found in Menard County in the future.
