Inventory auction recoups unpaid MIDC loan

This front-page article has been edited to address the following correction:  The last sentence of the third paragraph now reads: “The 2017 inventory loan granted by the MIDC to the Double S owner was called due for non-payment in December of 2022.”

The former NAPA Auto Supply store in downtown Menard was the site of a full inventory liquidation on Saturday.

Braden & Sons Auction Company was contracted by Menard Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), to handle the specialty sell-off event of all retail items, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
