WHERE THERE'S SMOKE THERE'S FIRE- Last Monday Menard VFD responded 2 miles into McCulloch County on US 190E for mutual aid. A grass fire ignited when this tree was struck by lightning. The fire burned 50 acres and was contained quickly. Despite recent rains, most of the area remains parched and the outdoor burn ban remains in place. Photo courtesy MVFD.
