Menard County has long been known as a producer of some of the top-quality pecans in the state. While the one-time pecan heyday may have levelled off over the years, county producers still have a place to showcase the different varieties grown here in Menard.
Judging criteria when evaluating the different varieties of pecans include kernel weight percentage, color, fill, and blemishes. If you are i…
