    The 2022 Menard County Pecan Show was held Tuesday, December 20th at the Murchison/Whitehead Memorial Youth Complex. Menard pecan producers submitted 35 entries, down from 49 entries last year. Retired Extension Horticulturalist, John Begnaud judged the show and explained that the drought and extremely high temperatures this summer definitely affected the pecan crops all around the area.
