ByPaige Wright Buck Bowie Miller’s law enforcement career in Texas began at the age of 19. Better known locally as Sheriff Miller, Buck served as Menard County Sheriff for the past 18 years. In lieu of a fifth term, Miller chose to hang up the badge and retire after serving for 50 years.
