River Rat Kayak Race

A lastminute effort by a few Menard families on Saturday, August 13, resulted in a quick “sprint” kayak race from the dam at Stockpen Crossing park to the low water crossing. The race took place during the day prior to the Chamber’s River Rat Fest concert that evening. The group hopes to grow the race in conjunction with a cash prize in the years to come.
