A garbage truck was involved in a one vehicle accident on Tuesday, approximately 6 miles north of Menard.
The incident happened just prior to 1:00 in the afternoon. The driver of the truck claimed he lost control of the vehicle when he fell asleep at the wheel. This caused the truck to leave the roadway, spilling it’s trashy contents along the barrow ditch.
