BRIDGE REHAB HAPPENING NOW- The main thoroughfare over the San Saba River in Menard is currently undergoing the beginning stages of a rehabilitation. Crews are now working under the bridge, but at some point traffic will be reduced from 4 to two lanes to accommodate repairs to the roadway, guardrails, and sidewalks. The project started off a little shaky, with poor communication between TXDOT, subcontractors, and local government. Read more in the story below. TMN photo.
