Hwy 83 bridge officially down to two lanes, plus correction: crews are lodging in Menard

    Subcontracting crews have officially begun work on the TXDOT (Texas Dept. of Public transportation) highway 83 bridge rehabilitation project.

    Concrete barriers have been placed on both ends of the bridge, along with traffic barrels. Traffic lanes on the busy bridge will be down from 4 lanes to 2 for the foreseeable future.
