What’s up with that new sign?

If you have traveled down Ellis Street lately you have no doubt seen the newly-installed digital sign at the corner of Ellis and W. Travis in the parking lot of Family Dollar.

The site was formerly a drive- thru ATM location owned by First State Bank. Years back, a motorist wrecked into the ATM dwelling and the corner sat vacant and neglected. Menard PTO, under the direction of President Valera Corbin, was able to purchase the property last year. The organization removed the old structure and the new sign was recently put into place.

“This sign was made possible through generous donations from throughout the community. Thanks to all who continue to support PTO!” Said Corbin.
