    About a dozen people gathered upon the courthouse lawn Monday morning to honor the late Roy McSherry by unveiling a memorial plaque.

    In addition to being a veteran, a cowboy, and a family man, Roy Ellis Mc-Sherry worked 22 years as Menard County Park Supervisor before he passed in 2007 at age 93. Roy kept the courthouse grounds in particularly nice shape and had pride in maintaining county grounds …
