    Multiple agencies were called to a fatality crash north of Menard on US 83 late Friday evening, April 11, 2025. Menard County Sheriff’s Office, Menard EMS, Menard VFD, TXDOT and DPS all responded to the head on incident involving a semi-truck/trailer and a sports motorcycle at 10:43 p.m. The male motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene by Justice of the Peace Stacy Lawler.
