Under the watchful protection of sophomore Jayden Payton, junior Logan Powell (8) steps back to find a receiver during last week’s district game in Veribest. The Yellowjackets lost the game, 58-8. “We have to find better ways to come out and compete and give ourselves a better chance early in games,” said head coach Bryson Oliver.
Senior Brandon Spinks (66) takes out a Veribest ball carrier as senior John Michael Eggleston (16) looks on. Oliver noted “We have two weeks to continue to give these seniors an opportunity to make memories, and in this district, anything is possible.”
