MHS sends 13 to regional track & field meet this weekend

2-time defending girls 400m and 800m state champ Danni Ruiz is on the right track to defend her region & state titles, plus an additional event added this year
  • Junior Danni Ruiz enters the 1-A Reg. II track meet as the top contender in the 400m, 800m. Although Danni is the reigning two-time state champion in both races, she faces increasing pressure from young talent across the state. This year Danni has been running the mile (1600m) and will compete in that event this weekend. Danni looks to finish her three events as the gold or silver medalist to advance to the state meet.

    Menard High School will send 13 track and field athletes to the 1-A Region II Track & Field Meet held in Abilene this weekend, May 1 & 2.
