Football is not the only fall sport geared up and ready to compete. Both high school and junior high boys and girls cross country runners competed in their first meet this week.
The Jackets and Lady Jackets were in Eldorado where the boys ran 3 miles and girls compete at a 2-mile distance. “I am excited for the 2022 cross country season. We have some strong competi- tors, and all the athletes are working extremely hard,” said coach Nancy Saller. “I think a district championship is within reach for the girls, and a strong chance of a repeat [district win] for the boys.”
Eldorado’s competition took place during press time of the newspaper. We will have results in next week’s edition.
