Chaparral Foundation grants Menard Volunteer Fire Department life saving equipment
LIFE-SAVING DEVICES- Thanks to a recent grant from Chaparral Foundation, MVFD was able to purchase three AED units to be placed about the community, and on fi re trucks. TMN photo.
The Menard Volunteer Fire Department was recently awarded $10,000 to spend on Automated External Defibrillators (A.E.D’s). 5 of the units will be installed in fire trucks, one in each truck. An AED will be installed at City Hall and one will also be installed at the Menard County Courthouse. The Menard Manor, Frontera, and the MISD school buildings already have A.E.D’s in place.
