Texas Ramp Project needs local volunteers

Body

Menard Mission Team leader Steve Whitson reports he has recently been in contact with Rob Newman, the Regional Coordinator for the Texas Ramp Project (TRP). Whitson is working with the regional office for his team to become involved constructing ramps locally.

Whitson attended a TRP build in Sonora last weekend to see how it all works.

Needed ramps are presented to the team as medical referrals. Materials are provided by the Mission Team. Ramps must be built to Texas Ramp Project specifications. Leaders are trained and guided through several installs.

There are ramps waiting to be built in Menard and Mason. Most ramp sections are prebuilt to minimize time on scene. A crew of 5-7 volunteers can often complete a ramp in 4-5 hours.

The Mission Team needs a leader for this project. Please consider stepping up. The Mission Team will help in this project; however, they are spread thin lately. “I believe this is a good fit for the local Mission Team, and will make a difference in lives.”
