Beautiful weather and generous hearts make for record-breaking PTO Veterans Day parade & auction

  • ABOVE- Grand Prize Overall winning float from third grade, depicting their ‘Everyday Heroes” as teachers. The truck pulling the float was fashioned as a school bus. The front half of the float mirrored a classroom setting, and the rear of the float portrayed virtual learning. Up front in the classroom is third grade teacher Amy Allison.     Beautiful mild weather provided the ideal autumn backdrop for Menard PTO’s annual Veterans Day Parade & Auction on Saturday, November 13, 2021.

    The festivities seemed even more welcomed Saturday morning, as last year’s event was a cancellation due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
