A relic from our past

The shearing rig pictured above originally belonged to Fecundo F. Deanda from the Menard area, back when Menard was true sheep country. An artist from San Angelo— and former sheep shearer himself— came across the vintage outfit in Melvin, Texas, and saved it from being scrapped. He then posted photos of his find on Facebook’s “Texas Sheep & Goat Shearing Official Group.”...
