Johnny Leroy Brown, age 68, of Menard, Texas, passed away peacefully, Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his home in Menard. Johnny was born on June 28, 1957, in Odessa, Texas, to Alton Ray Brown and Georgia Charlene (Alexander) Brown. He grew up in Odessa and loved the outdoors. He married Alicia Ann Harwell on May 1, 1976, in Odessa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, and most of all playing golf. He was the BBQ cook of the family and on most weekends, he could be found out back cooking something for the family. He worked as a lineman for AEP (American Electric Power) for 31 years, retiring in 2020. He has lived in Menard since 1987. A Memorial Service for Johnny Brown will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, from 1:00pm to 3:00 pm at The Historic 1904 Event Center, 109 Tipton Street, Menard, Texas. Johnny is survived by his loving wife Alicia Brown; his father Alton Ray Brown; son Jason Brown and wife Aileen; daughter Mandy Barron and husband Michael; sisters Norma Jean Hite and husband Dan and Patricia Sharp and husband Gary; grandchildren Molly, Barbara, Nicholas, Dylan, Connor, and Mateas; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
