Donna Lee Geller, 70, of Menard, Texas went home to be with the lord in June 2023 at her home in Menard, Texas.
Donna was born November 16, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Don Geller and Dee Davis. She grew up in the Dallas area. Donna was the oldest of 5 and helped take care of her 3 brothers and sister. When they all got a little older, they moved to San Antonio and then to Camp Wood Texas where she would meet Johnie Wooldridge. They dated for a short time, married, and had two children together. She worked at Get-N-Go, enjoyed playing softball, and raised her children. Her kids were the biggest part of her life, and she was the greatest mother. She would go to the river almost daily and always participated in tee ball and little league with them. Donna was known far and wide for her beautiful yellow, curly hair. Anyone could literally spot her at any distance or through any crowd. She continued to live in Camp Wood for several years. For a time, she ran STAR Video in Camp Wood and locals had many fond memories there. But eventually she was called to Junction, TX in 2001. She had developed a strong church family and felt led to be with them. Donna worked for several businesses including Isaac’s, Milky Way, and the Hill Country Care Center where she was the dietary supervisor. Donna was known to be a great boss and manager. She was a very hard worker, working several jobs at once sometimes to take care of herself and her children. She did live in Frisco for a brief 2-year period but then moved right back to Junction. Donna loved the strong community and the wholehearted friendships she had made there and couldn’t stay away. Circumstances eventually brought her to Menard where she helped take care of her parents when they became elderly, and she’s lived there for the past 11 years.
Donna was fearless. She loved excitement, fun times, and adventures. Her favorite things were camping/fishing, roller coasters, the rivers, lakes, and beaches: any place you could get in the water and enjoy your day. She loved music, movies, and books, rock collecting, was an amateur artist, among the best cooks of our generation. She had a fierce love of the lord and was a devout Christian woman.
Donna was preceded in death by her father Don Geller, mother Dee Davis and stepfather Frank Davis, Aunt Kaye Sells, sister Louann Turner, niece Natasha Geller.
