Dora Oralia Valdez, age 82, was born November 25, 1943, in Ft. McKavett, TX, the daughter of Abel and Catarina (Limon) Saucedo. She went to her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2026, in Wichita, KS, surrounded by her family.

Dora was born and raised in Ft. McKavett, Texas and spent the majority of her life in Texas. Ten years ago, she moved to Kansas, where she made Ulysses her home. Dora was an extremely hardworking woman who worked tirelessly to raise four children on her own and took a lot of pride in her family. A devoted healthcare worker, Dora was deeply passionate about caring for others. Her career was more than a job; it was her calling. She found true purpose in helping people, offering comfort, compassion, and kindness. Outside of her work, Dora loved sewing and took great pride in the pieces she made. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and supporting her children and grandchildren in all their athletic activities. Above all, Dora loved her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time surrounded by those she loved. Family gatherings, celebrations, and simple moments together were what she cherished most.

She is survived by her children, Josie (Rudy) Perez, Debra (Dario) Connors, Mike (Raylene) Valdez and Phillip (Jennifer) Valdez; sisters, Gloria Gonzalez, Nina (Rudy) Rodriguez, Alice (Armando) Hernandez; brothers, Robert (Julia) Saucedo, Abel Jr. (Bessie) Saucedo, Roger (Janie) Saucedo, and Eloy (Annette) Saucedo; Aunts, Frances Contreras and Rosa Molina; Uncles, Ector (Shelly) Saucedo and Johnny Saucedo; Grandchildren, Matthew Perez, Elisha Osbon, Cassie Sanchez, Lauren David, Michael James Valdez, Isaac Valdez, Lillian Valdez, Brady Valdez, Michaela Aguero, Jeremy Rendon, Gage Rendon, Christian Valdez, Merce’ Valdez-Lackey, Mandi Valdez and Ariana Guerrero; 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Ruth Jeanette Valdez; grandchildren, Rudy Perez Jr and ShaAnn Valdez; brother, Mario Saucedo; sister, Clara Zamora; and brothers-inlaw, Samuel Gonzalez and John Zamora.

Services will be held in Menard, Texas at a later date. Service times and additional details will be announced by the family once arrangements have been finalized.
