James (Possum) went to be with his Lord and Savior on 10/19/2026 in Odessa, Texas.
He was born on 8/29/1944 in Menard, Texas to J.C. and Helen Harwell.
Possum graduated from Menard High School in 1962.
He was preceded in death by parents.
He is survived by his wife Jo Lynne Yates Harwell; sons Jim McCollum and wife Linda, John McCollum and wife Julie; grandchildren, Joshua Mc-Collum, Aaron McCollum, and Justin Everett; great grandson, Grayson Everett; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be on Saturday October 24, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery in Menard.
