Billy Lackey was born in San Angelo, Texas on March 22, 1942, to parents James Lackey and Lela Shannon. He passed away on July 9, 2022 at his home in Menard, Texas.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Lela Shannon and James Lackey; his wife, Debbie Lackey; son, Brandon Lackey; grandson, Shaun Simmons; his brothers, Preston Harold (Dude), Glen Lackey, Bobby Lackey, and John Lackey; and his sisters, Bonnie Pinkston and Wanda Lackey.
Billy is survived by his daughters, Laurie Enloe and husband Tim, Pam Peters and husband Jeff; his son, Craig Lackey; his grandchildren, Jimmy Lackey, Kris Simmons, Kayden Lackey, Tina Enloe, Cassandra Enloe; five great-grandkids; and two great-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Don Lackey, Louis Lackey, Felipe Lackey, and James (Zoe) Lackey; sister, Gloria Lackey; his special niece, Marisela Arista and husband Joseph and children Leah and Auri; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Kris Simmons, Jeff Peters, Tim Enloe, Billy Kniffen, Louis Lackey, Felipe Lackey, Mark Lackey, Joseph Arista
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Heritage Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Voca Cemetery in Voca, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Brady, Texas.
