Charles Francis Decker, 63, Flower Mound, Texas passed away on June 21, 2023, surrounded by friends and family at Medical City Denton, due to complications following surgery.
Charles (known to all as Charlie) was born on July 7, 1959, to Denis and Peggy (Benton) Decker in Menard, Texas. After graduating from Menard High School in 1977, he went to work in the oil field. He later went on to study Economics and Computer Science at Angelo State University. He was a talented businessman that traveled throughout the United States and Great Britian consulting and installing software programs for large businesses.
He leaves behind a beloved son, Thomas Decker and his wife Emily, Hays, Kansas. He was a devoted Papa to grandson Grayson Decker, Hays and a loving brother to Tommy Decker and his wife Jackie, Burnet, Texas.
Other survivors include his former wives, Sandra Hight, London, Texas, Elisabeth Hodges and her daughter Jordan Morris, Katy, Texas. He also will be missed by a host of other family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, father, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will be interred with them in Rest Haven Cemetery, Menard, Texas.
Charlie’s family will be hosting a come-and-go Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the Menard Country Club from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers or donations, please come and bring your favorite story about Charlie to share with friends and family.
