Daniel Lloyd Potter passed away on April 1, 2023 in Schertz, Texas with his daughter and son-in-law by his side. He was born on January 13, 1950, to William D. Potter and Eljean Gann Potter in Tyler, Texas. Dan grew up in Tyler with his two sisters, Karen and Gayla. They moved to Dallas where he attended high school at Richardson High School. Dan went on to attend Abilene Christian College and University of Texas at Tyler. As an artist he painted, sculpted, and carved many beautiful works of art. After he married, he lived in Tyler, Plano and eventually moved to San Antonio. Dan was an entrepreneur starting a business in San Antonio, TX . He took care of the family ranch and eventually moved there to take care of his parents. Dan lived in Menard, Texas for several years moving back to San Antonio to be near his daughter, Stacey and son-in-law, Jeremy Huffman and his grandson, Cody Huffman.
