Debbra Marie Campbell, born in Peterborough, England on April 27, 1964, to Valerie and David Polk, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 59 on November 2, 2023, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father David Polk, fatherin- law Leslie S. Campbell, mother-in-law Janet Campbell Persyn, and step father-in-law Ernest Persyn. Debbra was an extraordinarily devoted and loving daughter and daughterin- law, selflessly ensuring that their every need was met with care and love. She was a woman who wore many hats in life and touched the lives of countless people. She was a fun-loving individual, full of life and spirited enthusiasm. Her hard work, reliability, kindness, and caring nature knew no bounds. Debbra was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Jeffrey Campbell, who cherished her as the cornerstone of their family's happiness. Her dedication to Jeff as a wife was a testament to the depth of her love and commitment. She poured her heart and soul into ensuring their marriage was a true partnership of love and care. Her unwavering devotion and the profound love she held for him were evident to all who witnessed their bond. Debbra's legacy as a dedicated wife and the love she shared with Jeff will forever serve as an inspiration of enduring love and partnership. She will forever be his soul mate and life partner.
As a caring mother, Debbra was the guiding light in the lives of her children Michael Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, Katherine Wilson and daughters- in-law Sarah B. Wilson, Sarah L. Wilson, and Hillary Cromer. Her children have often referred to her as the most reliable and loving person in their lives. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and reassurance, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
In the role of grandmother, or 'Granny' as she was affectionately known, Debbra was a fun-loving matriarch, knitting generations together. She leaves behind five cherished grandchildren: Isabella, Savanna, Mason, Madison, and Natalie. Her love and wisdom will continue to inspire them throughout their lives.
As a sister, Debbra was a reliable and understanding confidant to her siblings David Polk and Tina Ward along with their spouses Sabrina Polk and Dwayne Ward. She extended her love and kindness to her sister- and brother-in-law, Julie Aldaz Guerra and Marco Guerra, and was an adored aunt to her nieces and nephews, Jessica Nystrom, Taylor Scott, Travis Polk, Kattie Smith, Sage Smith, Sophia 'Bella' Aldaz and Alexa 'Lexi' Aldaz. Debbra's playful and kind-hearted spirit brought endless joy to her nieces and nephews.
Debbra's motherly nature extended to the students of Menard, Anson, Baird, Johnson City, Goldthwaite, and Wolfe City; she treated them as if they were her own, baking them Christmas goodies and acting as team mom. She was the stat keeper during basketball season and was there for support, love, and comfort during all the other sports seasons that Jeff coached. She was always there for anyone who needed her, a shining example of love, dedication, and compassion.
Debbra was not only a beloved family member but also a true friend to many. Her loyalty, empathy, and constant source of laughter and support endeared her to those fortunate enough to know her. Additionally, she was an inspiring mentor, always sharing her knowledge and encouragement, guiding those around her in their personal growth.
Debbra Campbell's memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 11 at 2pm. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
