Gloria Lynell Amos, 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep during the early hours of February 14, 2022 in Boardman, Ohio. The daughter of Edgar Preston Amos and Nell Frances Riley, Gloria was born September 15, 1934 in Menard, Texas,
Gloria Amos is survived by her two sons, Michael White (Steve Repasky) and Mark White (Melanie Van Winkle); grandsons, Christopher White and Brandon White; great granddaughter, Lorelei White; great grandson, Alex White; and her much-loved cat, Sugar.
Gloria was preceded in death by her brothers Edgar Preston Amos, Jr., and James Harold Amos; her two sisters Helen Amos and Patricia Amos Sorrell Noll; and her recent husband Bill Wall. Gloria’s much loved friend and sister-in-law Eloise Amos resides in San Angelo, Texas.
She was a 1953 graduate of Menard High School serving as a drum major followed by graduating from the Business College in San Antonio, Texas. Gloria Amos worked for Brooks Airforce Base as a stenographer, San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, vice president of Uptmore & Associates in San Antonio, and owner/manager of the Sage Real Estate Company in Carmel, California.
An avid reader, Gloria was known for her quick wit and ability to complete entire crossword puzzles even within her last months. She often commented on the beautiful oak and maple trees here in NE Ohio.

A memorial service is to be held on Thursday June 9, 2020 at 2:00 pm on the banks of the San Saba River under the large bridge in Menard, Texas.
