On January 27, 2022, Leland “Lee” Lloyd Hulse arrived at his heavenly destination at the age of 90. He was born January 11, 1932, in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1946 Lee graduated from high school in Gardner, KS and in 1951 Lee joined the Navy and was sent to the Korean war. During the war, he was assigned to the U.S.S. Chemung AO-30 (tanker), as Yeoman. He also served in Hawaii, Philippines, Japan, and offshore Korea. After his honorable discharge from the Navy in 1958, Lee went to work at the Delco Battery Company in Olathe, KS until he retired in August of 1988.
Lee married the love of his life Elizabeth Louise Ellis on May 6, 1961, who has gone on before him to heaven. The moment he retired he purchased a 5th wheel travel trailer and he and Betty became full-time “trailergypsies.” In April of 1997 Lee purchased a lot and home and moved to Menard, Texas where he lived until his death.
Lee attended First United Methodist Church and was an active member. He loved his Sunday school class and was the all-time page-keeper for the class.
Please join us on February 8, 2022, at First United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. for his funeral and celebration of life. Graveside will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery located at Frisco Ave, Menard, Texas.
