Marian Frances Crawford Collins Carsey went home to be with God on December 29, 2024, surrounded by her daughter Terry and beloved dog Sebastian along with friend Kathy Asher. She was born in San Antonio on February 4th 1936 to Paul David Crawford and MaryAnn Spiller Crawford. She was a teacher, a bilingual interviewer for the Texas Employment Commission being fluent in both Spanish and French, and her final career was as a Rancher in Menard at the Spiller/La Querencia Ranch. She was a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and was a member of Alphia Delta Pi. She was a member of Mensa, Christ Episcopal Church in San Antonio and of St Barnabus Episcopal in Fredericksburg. She was first married in 1957 to Lucian Hunter Collins, Jr. until his death in 2000. She later met and married Kenneth L. Carsey in 2010 until his death in 2021. Marian is survived by her son Lucien Hunter Collins, III of Kerrville and her daughter Terry Elizabeth Collins of Fredericksburg, cousins Rob Roy Spiller and wife Judy, Nancy Smith and husband BR , Sandra Spiller Wolf, Fred Sieker and wife Susan, Cortney Lutz, Susan Heffington and Gay Emery, Sharon Linebaugh and husband Bob,. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Spiller Crawford. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the ASPCA or World Wildlife Fund of your choice, PBS station of your choice or a charity of your choice.

Services will be January 16 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel at St. Barnabus in Fredericksburg with Father Tim, and then graveside service at the Spiller family cemetery in Menard with Christopher.
