Reyes Rendon Jr., 69, of Menard, passed away on April 8, 2023, in Menard. He was born in Menard to Reyes Rendon, Sr. and Elina (Hernandez) Rendon on July 2, 1953.
He worked as a mechanic most part of his life before working in the oil field checking on oil wells. He enjoyed getting together with the family and having family dinners. His son Reyes III was born on the 4th of July and enjoyed looking forward to fishing every 4th of July. He always enjoyed sitting on the front porch visiting with family telling stories of his childhood, fishing, trips, and when he worked with sheep.
Reyes is preceded in death by his parents, one son Reyes Rendon III, brother George Rendon, sister Renalda Torrez.
Reyes is survived by his daughters, Wendy Rendon of Menard; Brigette Owen and husband Jimmy of Menard; three brothers, Ernest Rendon of Menard, Paul Rendon and wife Barbara of Eden, Ben Rendon and wife of Eldorado; four sisters, Janie Garcia and husband Richard of Menard, Molly Garcia of Eden, Alice Carlie and Wayne of Menard, Erma Castillo and husband Albert of Hagerman, NM; and three grandchildren, Otis Rendon, Alan Guerrero, and Conrad Owen.
Graveside service was held Friday, April 14, 2023, at Garden of Memories in Menard with Baldamor Gonzalez officiating.
Pallbearers were Otis Rendon, Conrad Owen, Alan Guerrero, Roy Rendon, Jimmy Owen, Josh Ortega, and Tony Guerrero.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home of Menard.
