The 48-44 non-district win provided valuable opportunities for the team's talented underclassmen to gain some quality playing time. A win for the undefeated Jackets in Eden this Friday will claim the outright district championship to finalize the regular season. See additional football photos on page 8. Photo by Nora Davis.

Congratulations and good luck wishes are in order for Menard’s Yellowjacket marching band. The group had top scores at the regional contest, advancing them to the state contest for the 4th time in 5 years. Of those previous trips the band has won 2 gold medals and a bronze, and look to add to that tally on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Details for attending or streaming the contest will be released soon.
