Here they are pictured with The Menard News at one of the viewing stations on the Zimbabwe side of Victoria Falls, across from the country of Zambia. Thanks for thinking of us, Dave and Delise!

The Black Stone Grill (above) generously donated by Higginbothoms, shown with manager Bruce Hough, is up for grabs, as well as $250 in meat raised right here in Menard County. If you can’t find a kid peddling tickets go by the extension office in the Menard Courthouse to get yours today!

The Menard News recently traveled to the 30th Annual Celebration of the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky, in the care of Jay and Adrianne Hawkins. The newspaper (courtesy the Hawkins) joined a caravan of travelers from Texas then to the Gaylord Hotel in Nashville Tennessee. The Hawkins are cheering from afar and say: “Go Jackets!”
